Visuteach provides 11 plus sample papers for GL Assessment (formerly known as NFER Nelson) type tests in maths, verbal reasoning and non verbal reasoning, Essex CSSE style English tests, Northern Ireland PPTC transfer tests in English and maths, and English comprehension and maths tests for the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium. The GL Assessment and PPTC type papers are multiple-choice, and the Essex and North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium type papers are standard format.

GL Assessment Style 11 Plus Maths Practice Papers
Each maths practice paper is a pdf file containing fifty 11 plus style multiple-choice questions and their corresponding answers. The multiple-choice questions in our 11+ maths papers are similar to the type of questions found in the NFER Nelson (GL Assessment) sample papers, which can be bought in shops. We provide answers and explanations which allow you to understand how the answers are arrived at. This enables you to learn the concepts necessary to solve the problems.
GL Assessment Style 11 Plus VR (Verbal Reasoning) Practice Papers
Each verbal reasoning (VR) practice paper is a pdf file containing eighty 11 plus style multiple-choice questions and their corresponding answers. The questions in our VR papers are similar to the type of questions found in the NFER Nelson (GL Assessment) sample papers, which can be bought in shops.
GL Assessment Style 11 Plus NVR (Non-Verbal Reasoning) Practice Papers
Each non-verbal reasoning practice paper is a pdf file containing sixty 11 plus style multiple-choice questions and their corresponding answers. The questions in our NVR papers are similar to the type of questions found in the NFER Nelson (GL Assessment) sample papers, which can be bought in shops. We provide answers and explanations which allow you to understand how the answers are arrived at. This enables you to learn the concepts necessary to solve the problems.
Essex 11 Plus CSSE Style English Practice Papers
The Essex eleven plus English practice papers are pdf files that follow the format of the CSSE (Consortium for Selective Schools in Essex) test. The test consists of an English comprehension passage, and questions which test for comprehension, punctuation and vocabulary. Comprehension makes up between 60% to 68% of the test, vocabulary between 20% to 24% and punctuation between 12% to 16%.
Our Essex eleven plus English tests are 40 minute tests which are ideal for pupils preparing for the Essex 11-plus. They can also be used by pupils preparing for 11-plus English comprehension tests elsewhere in the country.
Northern Ireland AQE CEA Transfer Test Papers
Our AQE papers are standard format papers, based on the type of questions found in the AQE CEA (Common Entrance Assessment) sample papers for the AQE Northern Ireland transfer test. Northern Ireland PPTC Transfer Test English and Maths Papers
Our PPTC papers are multiple-choice papers, based on the type of questions found in the GL Assessment sample papers for the Northern Ireland Post Primary Transfer Consortium. Our PPTC maths papers are an adaptation of our 11+ maths papers, and therefore you should not buy both; you should only buy one or the other. North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium (NLIGSC) 11 Plus Papers
Our North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium English comprehension test papers are similar in style to the reading (comprehension) part of the Consortium's Group 2 English paper. Our English papers are 45 minute standard format comprehension tests and include sample answers.
Our maths papers are 1 hr 15 min standard format tests containing 40 questions. Our maths papers contain sample answers with explanations and are similar to the Group 2 maths papers of the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium, but they are also useful practice for Group 1 schools and other independent schools that have common entrance style maths exams.
