Our PPTC English transfer test practice papers are similar to the format of the GL Assessment Northern Ireland PPTC transfer test sample paper. The practice papers are multiple-choice and have questions on English comprehension, spelling and punctuation. Our PPTC sample paper has less questions than the full practice papers, and it only has one comprehension passage, rather than the three comprehension passages of the full practice papers.
Our full PPTC English practice papers contain 60 questions and are 50 minute tests. They contain three comprehension passages, each of about 500 words in length. The first passage is followed by 10 comprehension questions, the second passage is followed by 14 comprehension questions and the third passage is followed by 13 comprehension questions. The test also contains 10 questions on spelling and 8 questions on punctuation. The final part of the test consists of 5 general questions which can refer to any of the three comprehension passages.
The PPTC English transfer test is a GL Assessment test and has similarities to the GL Assessment English sample papers sold in shops.
The PPTC English test contains similar questions on spelling and punctuation, and its multiple-choice comprehension questions are of a similar nature. The GL Assessment papers sold in shops have one long comprehension passage, whereas the PPTC English test contains three separate comprehension passages, each of about 500 words in length.
The PPTC English practice papers can be useful for pupils studying for multiple-choice GL Assessment English papers throughout the country.
Our PPTC maths transfer test practice papers are similar to the format of the GL Assessment Northern Ireland PPTC maths transfer test sample paper. Our PPTC maths practice papers contain 45 multiple-choice questions and are 45 minute tests.
The PPTC maths transfer test is a GL Assessment test. The official sample test for PPTC maths contains questions from the maths GL Assessment practice papers, as sold in shops. Our 11+ maths papers are based on similar questions to the GL Assessment papers. Our PPTC maths practice papers are an adaptation of our 11+ GL Assessment style maths practice papers. Each 11+ GL Assessment style maths practice paper contains 50 questions, and each PPTC maths practice paper contains 45 of these 50 questions. The difference between the 11+ GL Assessment style maths papers and the PPTC maths papers is in question format, but not in question content. In the PPTC transfer test, the multiple choice answer options are displayed as part of the question rather than on the answer sheet. The format of the PPTC answer sheet is also different from the 11+ GL Assessment style maths answer sheet. If you buy our PPTC maths papers, do not also purchase our 11+ GL Assessment style maths papers, because the 45 questions of the PPTC test are taken from the 50 questions of our 11+ GL Assessment style maths tests.
