Our maths papers contain detailed explanations (not just answers). This helps you understand how to solve the problems.

Visuteach offers 11 plus common entrance style sample papers for the entrance exams to certain independent schools. These are maths and English comprehension papers.

We currently offer sample entrance test papers for the independent schools that make up the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium. We have three sample maths papers and four English comprehension sample papers for sale on our 11 Plus Products page, and will be adding further English and maths papers soon.

Our maths papers are our own papers and contain questions that are similar to some of the questions in the maths sample paper and the Group 2 maths papers of the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium. We also provide answers to our questions as well as explanations.

Our English papers are our own papers and are in the style of the Group 2 English reading (comprehension) papers of the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium. Our English papers contain sample answers.

You can open sample test papers for the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium Group 2 11+ English comprehension test and the Group 2 maths test, by clicking on the PDF images or links below and you can download them by right-clicking on the images or links and choosing the 'Save Target As' menu option. The English sample paper contains 7 questions rather than the 11, 12 or 13 questions in the full practice paper. The maths sample paper contains 3 questions and answers rather than the 40 in the complete product.

The North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium is made up of two groups of schools. The two groups have different exam papers which are taken on different dates. The exam papers for both groups cover similar topics but the format of the papers is slightly different. 

The schools in Group 1 are:

Francis Holland (Regents Park), Francis Holland (Sloane Square), Heathfield School, Notting Hill & Ealing High School, Queen's College, St. Helen's School, South Hampstead High School, St. Albans High School, The Royal School Hampstead.

The schools in Group 2 are:

Channing School, City of London School for Girls, More House, North London Collegiate School, Northwood College, Queen's Gate School, The Godolphin and Latymer School, St. James Senior Girls' School.

The English paper for the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium is 1 hour 15 minutes in length and consists of two parts; a reading (comprehension) section and a writing (essay style) section.

Visuteach's English papers for the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium concentrate only on the reading (comprehension) part of the English test. Our English comprehension tests are in standard format (i.e. they are not multiple-choice), are 45 minute tests and come with sample answers. The tests are similar in style to the English comprehension tests used by the schools in Group 2 of the Consortium. Our English comprehension tests are also useful for pupils taking the Group 1 entrance exams and for pupils studying for 11 plus common entrance style English comprehension tests used by other independent schools.

Our maths sample papers contain 40 questions in standard format (i.e. they are not multiple-choice). The tests are 1 hour 15 minute tests. Some of the questions are difficult and require a lot of thought. Many of the questions are more complicated than those used in other 11+ tests. We provide answers to all questions, and explanations for any but the most simple of questions. Our maths papers are similar to the Group 2 maths papers of the North London Independent Girls' Schools' Consortium, but they are also useful practice for Group 1 schools and other independent schools that have common entrance style maths exams.
