Our maths papers contain detailed explanations (not just answers). This helps you understand the process needed to arrive at the correct answer. For example, our North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium maths paper 1 contains 17 pages of explanations for the 40 questions in the test.
Our maths papers are our own papers and contain questions that are similar to some of the questions in the maths sample paper and the Group 2 maths papers of the North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium. We provide answers and explanations to our questions.
Our English papers are our own papers and are in the style of the Group 2 English reading (comprehension) papers of the North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium. Our English papers contain sample answers.

Visuteach is interested in maths sample papers from independent schools or grammar schools that set their own papers. We hope to use these to generate more questions that help pupils prepare for entrance to grammar and independent schools. The North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium is made up of two groups of schools. The two groups have different exam papers which are taken on different dates. The exam papers for both groups cover similar topics but the format of the papers is slightly different.

The English paper for the North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium is 1 hour 15 minutes in length and consists of two parts; a reading (comprehension) section and a writing (essay style) section.
Visuteach’s English papers for the North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium concentrate only on the reading (comprehension) part of the English test. Our English comprehension tests are in standard format (i.e. they are not multiple-choice), are 45 minute tests and come with sample answers. The tests are similar in style to the English comprehension tests used by the schools in Group 2 of the Consortium. Our English comprehension tests are also useful for pupils taking the Group 1 entrance exams and for pupils studying for 11 plus common entrance style English comprehension tests used by other independent schools.
Our maths papers contain 40 questions in standard format (i.e. they are not multiple-choice). The tests are 1 hour 15 minute tests. Some of the questions are difficult and require a lot of thought. Many of the questions are more complicated than those used in other 11+ tests. We provide answers to all questions, and explanations for any but the most simple of questions. If you purchase one of these maths tests and require further explanation, you can email us at visuteach@hotmail.com and we will try to help and provide an alternative explanation. Our maths papers are similar to the Group 2 maths papers of the North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium, but they are also useful practice for Group 1 schools and other independent schools that have common entrance style maths exams.
Our English comprehension and maths papers are similar to the Consortium’s Group 2 English reading test and maths exams, except that we also include sample answers.
